Is it just me, or does minimization of Garry's Mod freeze it

the only thing I get is a 7 minute re-maximization + Inventory screw up, then I will hear a sound "sploogle" sounds like running out of air underwater or something, Only crashed once or twice while doing it.

Just recently Ted booted me from the vent server so I could fix my binding for push to talk (it was "c") and it crashed my Garry's Mod ::)

I play in Window, if I minimize the game and re-open it it will stay black, non responsive for up to 60 seconds :/ Each time you do it the performace gets slightly worse untill eventually the text is unreadable and you need to restart the whole game. Blame Vista?

Yep. I can alt-tab out of windowed Gmod in XP just like any other program.

This also happens to me. Now I play in windowed mode. w00t

I play in full and when I press alt-tab to switch out it does take a few minutes to get out of it, it always happens for me.
