So, I start up steam like I always do and for some reason I can only see half of my favorite servers on both my favorites list and the main server list for ALL my games. I have tried deleting my BlobRegistery.blob (Something along that name). So right now I can't access the [BB] servers and various others.Heres a pic:

Any suggestions? Considering I can't get my Diablo 2 to work again or get on any of the servers I'm going to sit here.

I press Refresh. Or plug in my internet cable.
Remember, if all else fails, mash your computer with a hammer. After that, reinstall steam.
WAIT A MINUTE! THOSE 2 SERVERS AT THE TOP ARE ACCESSIBLE! ITS ALL A LIE!

Your help.
Yea, They are alive. But I blocked them out so I wouldnt be advertising servers. But then I realized I was advertising IP's later. So I am all like /facepalm.
When it shows the IP and 0/0 plays it means that server isn't up.

One of those IP's is BB's Classic Server. When its up. Unless its been down for the last 2 days.

Well, there's always clientregistry.blob that can be deleted, or remove the server and re-add it.

If it gives you teh location of the virus in steam folder then go in the steam folder right click delete it and continue life you dirty torrenter.
I called you a "Dirty Torrenter" because it said Worm.P2P.Generic.
Moral of today's story, "Kids don't Illegally download Steam Games".

Yesh, and only stupid dumbfucks try to load those games in legal steam applications/accounts. You can still put a worm into a .exe on your own website smartypants.

Either you got a game illegally, you downloaded another game illegally, or the porn you looked at is entirely coincidental.

Oh John, You and Your Shenanigans.
If you didn't Download a game Illegally, then report it. But if you "DID", Dont report it because Steam would be like "Well we fixed the Problem, say where'd you get those games anyways?".

Like i said, it may be a coincidental name. There's a new virus going around saying "Watch me, you're in this video!". So beware of that.

o_0 what the virus do. someone messaged me that once and i was liek "Lolwut" and a virus was found but mashed it into pieces before i could Study it more. So what does it do is my question.
Teddi

Basically, it gives you a youtube (or similar other video thing) saying click me to watch! However it asks you to install the software to watch it first. So yeah. Thats the catch.

Another one of my fun facts:
If you get firefox and the addon Noscript, you can allow / disallow what scripts can run on the page. So you can stop any pop-ups, stop those interactive flash popup things. Sure, it requires a little base config (ie, about 5 minutes to get youtube etc unblocked) but in my opinion, it's better than adblock. alongside it, i do regular scans, and since i've had noscrpt, i've had no spyware or adware -at all-

Kaspersky is good, you have to rightclick the desktray icon, click settings, firewall, then Trusted Applications then delete the rule saying it's blocked I think. It's abit confusing but the security is good xD.

This happened to me before but I think it happened to me like one of the first days it came out. I went to yahoo answers to see something and someone posted a link to a video and it wanted me to download something to watch it then ever 5 seconds a virus thing would come up telling me to buy the full version and that it found virus and crap on my computer. Turns out it auto installed a program in add/remove programs and added some registry shit. I uninstaller it but everything was still happening to took me a while but I found the bad registry stuff. :P Trust me if this is the same virus and your not protected this one is not fun :/

LOL Yeah this is what it said to me:
Your Computer has Detected a Virus! Please Download and "Perchase" our Product in order to "pervent" further data loss.
Those were not Typo's you saw that's what it actually said in my taskbar and it had a little red circle with a white "x" in the center and a balloon that said the above text.
Its like a blackmail software and it probably permanently ass-raped my computer because avg, like i said wouldn't detect it.

Boot into safe mode, run the scan, hope it removes most of them, restart, boot as normal, do another scan, send the reports back.

Noscript rules, it blocks all sorts of weird shit.

Since we already ruled out Torrenting i wouldn't have re-stated it. theres more ways then one to get worms from steam.
OMG. It looks as though i "AM" in fact smarter than the average Toaster-Modem.
