Patch sent to Valve. Fingers crossed that it doesn't break everything. There's 15 achievements in this update. Will probably add more later.

Hopefully this includes the fix.

The exploit allows clients to download / upload files from the server, allowing them to get the rcon password, gamemode, addons, anything. For games like TF2, the worst part is the upload part, but for Gmod, it's real bad both ways. Many communities have switched off their servers until Valve issue the patch.

This isn't Garry's fault, this is a fault with with the engine itself, which is Valve's problem. They patched TF2 / DoD:S, then L4D the next day. However, 11 hours since Garry released the patch, and still nothing :angry:

That's actually what I thought.

Although, I would still DL it (if I was an exploiter), since it's got all of the fixes that Teddi and cpf did (if I'm interpreting this right).

ah so we need to use the shell acess....same kind of thing you need to install a vent on your server which bb has :d

so I simply need to access the command line and begin downloading and uploading files to the server using my steam based port connections :d hmm yes very nice

I don't know if it's the same exploit, but the one Teddi was talking about has to been have fixed since just about all the servers that went down for that exploit are up now, including the extremely exclusive and protected Zombie Survival gamemode by JetBoom.
