ACPI?!?!!?

I get this error while trying to install Windows 7 and have no idea why. I've tried google and i can't make any sense of it.


This computer is not compliant with the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) standard. Windows must be installed onto a computer that supports ACPI. Contact your computer manufacturer for a BIOS update or install Windows on an ACPI-compliant computer.

Any know the cause/ a solution to it?

How old is your PC, or do you know your motherboard type.

Its not that old, roughly a year

My montherboard is Gigibyte GA-73VM-S2
i know that it is ACPI Compliant.
I did the windows 7 compatibility thing and it showed no problems...

I think you bios isn't compatiable with Windows 7. Make sure you have the newest Bios for your mobo. Also, you may want to post this on the Gigibyte forums.
