Hi, so i have some "legal issues" right now because i bought a new labtop, and i use itunes. Only problem is, my music came from another source other than itunes. How can i retransfer these songs over from my itouch 3g to pc?

There may be a Cydia way to do it, but not an Apple way.

Grab the files directly from the iPod, then load them into iTunes.

You have to ssh into your phone and grab the files off of it. I don't remember the exact path off the top of my head right now.

You could also have made a backup of your music beforehand.

Well, with my iPod Nano, I used to open up the hidden folders on it and look in the music files and could copy them across computers. The files aren't named correctly but putting them straight into iTunes would get all of the information for the songs. (either that or the information is already embedded in the music files)

Edit: is jailbreakme.com untethered?

There was a program I used once on google, it extracts the songs off your iPod. Just google around for something like that and you'll find it.

Yes. Only works if you're still on 4.0.1 though. Been using the jailbreak since day 1 of it's launch.

Also, downgrade your mobile substrate, it eats battery like no tomorrow.

It is pretty crazy, but I got the 4... So it's not too bad.

Yeah my battery life is fine on my iPhone 4, and I have a few widgets running which apparently make your battery commit suicide. But it hasn't.
